Meta’s current connector guide says Facebook, Instagram and Threads connect to Muse automatically when the accounts are in the same Accounts Center. No separate setup is needed for those connections. That differs from services users explicitly add through Muse’s connector settings. The guide does not enumerate every data field or action available through those social connectors, so automatic connection should not be described as unrestricted access.

The guide says many connectors can be restricted to retrieving information, while many important actions, such as sending email, require approval by default. Device-linked sources have another control point: access to connectors such as Apple Health or Android SMS is managed in device settings after setup. Meta’s separate data guide says users can ask Muse what information it has from a connector. We have not tested these controls.

Editorial take: Review what is already connected before adding more accounts. Check Accounts Center, Muse’s connector settings and any relevant device permissions, then ask for an inventory of information held from each source. Keep decisions about reading information separate from permission to send or publish. Both help pages show only relative update labels, so this is analysis of existing guidance, not a newly announced change.
